This design stems (mmhmm, I said it) from a deep love of tomato season combined with unexpected, beyond pleasing, color combos.
I have been known to drive 80 minuets round trip to gather tomatoes from a farmers market during a beach week, I have Chicago Famers Market schedule taped to my fridge, come July - September you will not catch me with store bought, and the minute the season is over, I'm thinking about the next. Tomatoes also remind me of my sister who has the greenest of thumbs and each year grows the very best.
